BATIK WORKSHOP with Leonor Veiga
Starting from an image based on wayang kulit puppets, typical of the island of Java, each participant will transfer to the fabric the design of the romantic couple of Ramayana, Rama and Sita.The batik is an ancient technique dyeing fabric by hand originated in Java (Indonesia) which consists of applying layers of wax in which only the exposed layers of fabric color gain.Target audience – teachers, artists, fashion designers
