Robertos e outras Marionetas it’s a show where the traditional techniques coexist with new proposals of manipulation, carrying the public to the magical world of puppets. In it, you see the traditional, with string or glove puppets, in the “Tourada” (“Bullfight”) that happens in the booth, where the puppeteer through the swazzle that produces acute sounds underlines the wild rhythm of the Robertos, and the innovation by bolder techniques where the constant is the hand or the arm of the manipulator as a support for the puppet construction.
The company Trulé, professional project, intend by the investigation and experimentation to spread the puppetry through the making of shows and workshops. In 1986 they initiated their activities in Évora. With twenty years of activity Trulé made more than 1000 representations in Portugal and in international festivals. The group made innumerable dislocations abroad in the last 9 years, and participated in more than 45 international festivals in the European, Asian, African and American Continents, in countries as Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Hungria, Austria, Polónia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Pakistan, Canary Islands-Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Iran, China, Belgium and Romania. Trule has also won several prizes, attributed to the shows. In Czech Republic, Robertos e outras Marionetas received the prize for “Combining the Modern Manipulation with the Traditional Robertos”, in 2006.
